State governments can expand civil rights beyond the U.S. Constitution, but they cannot diminish Constitutional rights

I purchased land in Live Oak, Suwannee County Florida in December of 2007.  The agreement and all subsequent paper work gave me the right to camp on my 5 acres for 6 months each year, and when I decided to build a Home, that right would be extended to 2 years.

I checked with the county as instructed, before making the final purchase, to determine if it was true that I could camp on the land.  The Zoning office listened as I quoted the contract and the code number involved, and they agreed that camping would indeed be permitted.

I had problems with my loan on a house in Central Florida and because I was way behind on all of my bills and had no way out, I let the house go back and moved to my land in Live Oak.  I need to point out that the land is in the woods where other lots are of similar or larger sizes and on a dirt road.

I put up my tent and a make shift plastic building to house my belongs and began camping, per the agreement, and remained there from the last week of Feb. until the last week of May when I applied for a permit to build a small 24 x 22 528 square foot house.

Two days after getting the permit, which took 2 weeks of fighting tons of local government rules, I was going about the business of establishing electric, septic, and a self-drilled well, when I came back to my land and discovered a red flag violation.  I went in to check out what the problem was and was told that it is illegal to camp without a permit and that camping meant that I needed to be living in an RV, complete with a well and sanitary systems.  You would think they never heard of a porta-potty.

I advised them of the above and they would not budge.  I finally said "the hell with them" and went about building my home.

Another problem was that they would not recognize my modified 12 thousand dollar horse trailer that is in better shape than a lot of campers, and the other problem was that a camper that would make them happy, would cost as much as the house I was building, which by most estimates would have come in at under 12 thousand dollars, if I did all of the work myself.

Well, this is and was, the last straw and I am now making it my business to organize and fight all of these types of abuse by local, State, and Federal Governments.

Well, the other day, July 11, I got hold of an older RV trailer with a self contained outhouse and shower.  I need to use it to do other things, so I will not elect to set it up permanently which will upset the powers to be. 

I am waiting with unbaited but determined breath.  I was able to get the trailer by doing some yard work on this guys 10 acres.  I am to clear a small portion, for which I will eventually receive the title to the trailer.   We veterans need more deals like this one.

The Constitution is to protect us, not to abuse us.
